Just got this idea in my head for a logo and made it, but just didn't know where and how to place the name. So made few variations of it.
With the .org under the Booteek makes the its more compact and not too long. But I think just different way you can look at it. Some last one got full Booteek.org cause otherwise the .org would stick out underneath.
I choose these colors cause in the other I saw these two colors works good when you got overlapping objects. This one got less about charity and more about the crochet workshop.
Booteek.org V3 / Available
Booteek.org v2 / Available
I went looking about the crochet thing and put my hand together and though about my hands with fingers going criss cross. I just try to make one hand with one line and this came up. Afterward I saw looks allot like a bird spreading his wings.
Made multiple version cause you can gradient this allot of ways. And also did little color testing. The meaning behind it is just wich way you look at it or what see in the first sight. The hands, crossing lines, heart or the birds
Booteek.org

My first entry on the Design Contest forum. Its a logo for a charity company named Booteek.org. Booteek.org is a social enterprise from Sri Lanka. We sell products created by Chitra Lane Sheltered Workshop in Sri Lanka. Chitra Lane is a Colombo based non-profit organisation, running a school for special needs children and a workshop that aims to empower special needs young adults and their parents. Booteek.org aims to increase the reach of Chitra Lane’s products from a traditional mail order catalogue to a global audience, to give young special needs children and their parents a better chance at a life.
The logo shape is based on few of there products. Cause the shape resembles the a heart, and the diamond is also said pure and good. And added flower element so out of this company there will be good thing blossoming from it.
Hope you all like the logo and also help this charity company for better future for the children in Sri Lanka.

Adidas iWalk
This week joined a competition website for sneakers design. The website is kicksguide.com, each month there is a theme for a sneaker design. This time the theme was iPhone. I tried my best to design something with the looks of the iPhone.
This is the sketch I made for the shoe, how ever I made some changes in the final render. I left out the Apple shaped holes on the side and the Apple logo, so the sneaker would have a much more cleaner design. Also the side of the sole I left empty.
I'll explain why the shoe look like this. The top flap on the shoe resembles the front of the iPhone, you can see the chrome edge and the hole of the loudspeaker. The nose of the shoe got a carbon look like the bottom menu of the iPhone. I left the shoe clean and the flap to cover the shoelaces. Just like the way the iPhone hides the buttons on the screen. The flap got a Velcro faster to hold the flap down so it wont be loose. The rest i left open and clear for the Adidas lines.
This is the visual I submitted to the contest. Its a good experience, cause I learned how to render a shoe with photoshop. But next time I know I need to use Illustrator too and use a bigger size to make more and better detail. However I did made this render in a few hours time.
Puma Roadway
This project we have to make a new sneaker for Puma, Scooter for Aprilia or a mobile phone for KPN. I choose the sneaker of course cause its the hardest. This shoe is called RoadWay cause of the way the line goes, like a road going into the horizon. This was a big and final project for D&P15 / Depth and Perspective 15. However I didn't got a high grade for this one cause I neglected the lesson a bit. Mostly just cause there was nothing to learn during the lesson and only have to make things. The teacher gave me a 7.5 for this one cause I wasn't at all the lessons. Would have been a much higher grade if I was at all the lessons.
These are the 3 sketches I made for the sneakers. There all new and non existing. I choose the middle one cause it looks most clean design. Also I was the only one who made total new shoe designs in my class. Everyone took existing shoe design of other brands and added Puma logo's. I even saw a Converse All Star with just the logo edited and the rest was totally the same.
These are the top and side view of the shoe. We had to make 3 view of the shoe. There is also a front view of the shoe, but my scanner isn't big in of for an A3 sized paper. I used a special 1mm blocked paper to draw this, then I traced it over to a marker paper and colored it all in.
This is the perspective view of the shoe, it was hard to get a shoe perfect in perspective. I have to make allot of line to get the shape correct. But at the end the teacher said that you only had to make a box and draw the shoe in it. The same for the phone and the scooter. So it wasn't that hard as I had thought. I liked this project and learned more about designing shoes.
Modern Mea
This was made for a theme project THBJ4, but this one was never used. Cause my group first wanted modern classic and suddenly changed it to techno classic. That was a music theme that I don't know and probably don't like. This would have been the design on the front. Its never been finished, the back could have more things or a different color then just white. But I find it a good illustration and tried a bit of Art nouveau style.
Logo's 06/07
These are the logo's I have made this school year of 2006/2007. There were more 100 sketches and other logo's but these were the only real logo that were used during this school year.
The last two logo I already introduced at
Destiny
This illustration / logo was made for
OV foxhunt
No its not about hunting foxes, its a dutch game called fox hunt. In this game you get clues about certain direction you need to follow and you need to find a certain person and do quest to get pieces for a puzzle. And its not real flyer so dont post it to join the game.
This was a assignment for
You should remember this cause its helpful to get a good flyer, poster or website. First you need to attract
Reel Tray
This was a team project for a theme module called
This was the sketch for the record, of course there were more but this of my team choose out also I drew this one and rendered it. This sketch was first made on paper, then scanned and colored with Photoshop. But while I was making it in 3d, and check the measurements it was way to big. It would have been twice the size of a normal DVD player. So it was slimmed down so it would be much smaller.
I have also made a logo for this recorder. Its a simple and clean logo. Not too much of a illustration. But very recognizable that it is the same recorder. And also included the Philips logo colors. And also the new shape a bit.
And this is a prototype I made of the ReelTray, its made out of simple things actually. The whole shape is made of foam that you can buy and any department store, and its cost just 1 or 2 euro for it. The reels I luckily found at the market and those cost me €1,- each. Then I wrapped the whole thing in a layer of paper so when I wrapped it with black vinyl sticker you would see the bubble of the foam. The screen I printed it with a overhead sheet and inside I added led and also under the tray there are 4 led so give an amilight effect.
CD logo
I'll explain a bit about my logo. It is a big C and the inside of the D. It also resembles a smiley and if you can spot it a key to success. It is a logo that I have made in my free time and used it at school for a project once. But then it was Creative Dreams. First version of it had a ; in it just before the D. So you could see the smiley better and also a blink of a eye, but later removed it so its more serious and mature.
It is a clean and easy design. And I probably will use it when I get a own company. But I still need to study for 3 years till I am done with Packaging and Design.
VRP hand held
No it is not a real one and never will be. Its just a assignment for school. The VRP stands for Virtual Reality Play. Its a small hand held. The buttons on the side can be shove into the hand held when you are not playing. This makes it a very small hand held. Also it have multiple functions.
This was a project for D&P ( Depth and Perspective). We had to make concepts for 3 or more consoles and also for hand held. These below are all sketches, we had a weird teacher who had to make fine illustrated sketch works? We didn't really understood cause all teachers says we need to make sketches with pencils and not color them in. While this one says we need to work them out to fine illustrations.
We also had to put one of the concepts into perspective view. I choose for the VRP and after that we had to make a perspective view of the logo too. And at last we had to make a visual and presented for the teacher. I had the highest grade of all first years classes a 9,5 . Also i was 3 week earlier done with this project than it was planned for
Chung Dha Cola
This was a funny assignment we had to search for an existing brand and put our own name in it, but still you need to recognize the original brand. I choose for Coca Cola cause it began with a C, and it was made up in two words and my first name exist with 2 words too. But this wasn't all that hard too make actually. I just searched for some Coca Cola pictures and then searched the font of Coca Cola. Used Photoshop to make it to one picture and then printed it very light out so you could only see it very faint. Then colored it all with makers and fine liners.
Best moodboard
During the first year on Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam I made allot of moodboards, for allot project but the best one I made was for the project opposite side for the course T&V (Typo and Vorming). Me and my parter choose for Heaven and Hell. And this was a very good team. We had the highest grade of the class a 9. Its the most beautiful and powerful looking mood board. A full size a3 format and also made of pieces from a calendar and from magazines. So if you want to make a good mood board don't wast around using Photoshop and don't go for old magazines. Try searching the perfect magazines in stores instead, where you can find the best pictures to use for your mood board.

Born: 03/06/1985
Country: The Netherlands
Chung Dha is a student at the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He studies Packaging Design at the moment and joined different contest to explore his designing abilities, also he do freelance designs for companies and recently started his own design company Chung Dha.
2001 - I got my Mavo-D diploma at Aquamarijn Reviusplein.
2002 - I joined Gp500store.co.uk with the nickname LaZy_tJaI. Where I soon learned allot of photo editing skills with Paint Shop Pro and from a friend called GAP. I soon became a well known texture skinner in the community.
Later changed from Paint Shop Pro to Adobe Photoshop to improve my skills in photo editing. Later learned skills to convert models from SEM and Mautorex. And learned 3d studio Max from online tutorials. And made different models and most famed for making helmet models.
This year I went to pre-police academy to train my self so I could join the Police force. But in my free time I became more attracted to the designing things for games. I finished that year and got a diploma but did not applied at the police force.
2003 - I worked as a freelance designer for www.brandmerk.com where I got the first taste of graphic design in a real company. The first logo I sold was also the logo for this company. This year I also went to study at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam and was aiming for Animations and Games, but due to too much lessons which I did not needed I left.
2004 - I went to Delft to study Industrial Design at Mon3aan, where I learned problem solving, product design and materials. Studied 2 years before I heard the diploma was for mechanical engineering instead of Industrial Design.
2006 - I found out Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam got a new study direction for Packaging Design and went to study there. This year they improved with much better lesson programs.
2007 - In the summer I joined Design Contest.net and soon became one of the Design Team Members. At Design Contest I could compete with the contests to test my own designing abilities and learn to improve my skills in designing. Also soon won in a contest to design a t-shirt for NFME F-Body Event in Memphis 2008. I also started this blog at the same time when I joined the Design Contest.
2008 - Started well and I won a logo contest directly and it was also my first time I won in a logo contest. The logo is for CircleOfArtists.com and also for Kings Poker.
Also I've been approached by Good Web Practise to design a new logo for their website.
After publishing a post of a bottle prototype I've made with using sliceform technique, I've been contacted by Computer Arts to make a tutorial about it for the special Packaging Design edition.
In the spring I had contact with a friend of mine Arkady from the GP500store days , who actually does game textures for a game called MotoGP08 and ask me if I wanted to join his team. I first gone into a test and actually passed it and also did it well with the needed time. Then I got the job to do the low helmet resolutions textures of the game for the Wii and Playstation 2. I textures allot of the riders from fairly unknown one to the top rider like Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa and more.
Begin summer started my own design company Chung Dha and officially registered it as a company. Had a summer internship at Jackson Chang in Den Hague.
End of the summer I became a moderator at Design Contest.
And who knows what the future beholds, but I am sure I will be very busy doing allot of designs.
