Candy wrap curve fold

This is a bit to see on of the possibilities of these kind of interlocking fold with curves. However it is not an easy fold or to design nor easy to fold it together. The paper went all wrinkly and also might been because I made some too hard round corners on this design. However I know there are straight fold versions of this kind of designs that are easy to fold together. But it is still a very interesting design that looks like someone just twisted a rectangle in 2 places.

An interesting fact I am looking at allot of times seem most curved fold can be done with a straight fold and the straight ones are often easier folded in most cases. But still it is very interesting to see what future possibilities there will be using curved folds in packaging.

Prototyping own gimbal

As you can see below this is a ver different gimbal than most out of there. And mostly made out of aluminium instead of carbon. However this is the first prototype as we will change and upgrade the design over time.

However it is not originally my design however this is an interesting design. Here below is the template of it that you can make one yourself. This packaging is way better then the Pochup which could never stay flat unless you put it between a telephone book.

But today I done several tries and even learned few extra things along the way. But mainly learned this so I dont have to pay stupid expensive prices most of the companies ask when for doing this. However I do need to see how i could cure the inkt cause it need to be heaten up so it won't wash off when there is accidentally get water poured over it.
