While filming certain things it might be easier to use this kind of setup as it places the mic close to the subject without having to put a clipmic or a wireless set on them. As this will make it easy to have other people stand in place quicker to do like quick interviews and also don't have to give them a mic to hold which some don't know how to use or hold making the job hard to control the sound voluma as this setup the mic would be kept onto one place and not much would be needed to change for each person.
