Just to be clear even though the H4n sound nice so close but mainly when you film you wan't it off screen and from a distance it would record the echo like the boom mic. Also for interview only work close up but not like if you mount it on your camera.
2nd test to explain more and show more variety and difference when the mic is placed on different locations compared to the last video. As its never good to put the mic on top of your camera unless your camera is really closeup. This locations echo is just too crazy probably need to put just put things cloths around the area to lessen the reflection of sound, as with the H4n it sounded like I was filming myself in the bathroom as the sound bounces around like that.
