In this video tutorial I am teaching how to achieve an Anamorphic Lens Flare on your Phone for Free without any use of an Anamorphic lens nor any accessories needed. An added bonus also is that it does not squeeze your image nor lessen the quality of your footage and not add any weight to your phone either, so you can easily use a gimbal and not need to use a counterweight for a heavy lens.
The trick for this is very simple, take a slightly greasy finger and smudge your lens vertically and it will cause a horizontal lens flare to appear. However its might not be as easy as it sound, as for the tiny lens is quite difficult to get it perfectly straight in the first go and would take a few tries to get it perfect. However once achieved you can film with your phone getting that nice anamorphic like flares. And if you don't want it any more just wipe the grease away and film with a clean lens.
